Lief & Leed Cabinets in the Neighbourhood

In Caberg, Malpertuis, and Pottenberg, more Lief & Leed (Kindness & Care) cabinets will be set up to share non-perishable food. These cabinets help residents support each other, especially in areas facing poverty. A cabinet in Pottenberg has already proven successful, but it often runs empty. Now, residents will oversee four cabinets per neighbourhood. Donations will come from locals, shops, and a school. Small tokens of kindness will also be placed in the cabinets to lift people’s spirits.

Current status

“If you need something, take it from the cabinet; if you can spare something, put it in.” With this motto, 12 Lief & leed exchange cabinets will be installed in spring 2025 in Caberg, Malpertuis, and Pottenberg. The cabinets have been painted by children as part of a collaboration between Trajekt, de Kunstketel, and Kaleidoscoop.
