No Green Without Water

The No Green Without Water project would like an outdoor tap with a long hose and cover on Wittevrouwenplein in Wittevrouwenveld to water the plants. Local volunteers maintain two green strips and 15 large flower boxes, which has transformed the square into a green oasis. Currently, they carry watering cans from nearby cafés, which is time-consuming and difficult. The outdoor tap will help keep the square green and pleasant for everyone.

Current status

Manon Fokke, member of the municipal executive, officially opened the new outdoor tap with hose on Saturday 21 June 2025. Thanks to this practical addition, volunteers can now maintain the 15 flower boxes and 2 green strips without lugging heavy watering cans – a big step towards a greener square!
