Submit a project plan

Do you have a good idea for your neighbourhood or for the whole city? You can submit your idea until 15 September 2024. Prepare in advance by reading the information on this page and on the Tips and advice page (in Dutch).

Important

  • Rules

For Citizen's Budget Maastricht 2024, general regulations (download below) and official subsidy rules ( in Dutch only) have been drawn up. These contain all the rules. For example, all projects submitted must be implemented within 1 year.

  •  Project form

In the project form we will ask you, among other things:

  • within which of the 4 themes your project fits
  • what you want to achieve with your project
  • a clear title and summary of your project
  • whether you will carry out the project yourself
  • whether local residents support your idea
  • an estimate of the costs for carrying out your idea
  • a preliminary planning for your project.

It is a good idea to think about this before filling in the form. Also read the tips and advice from Team Citizens' Budget. At the bottom of this page you will find forms to estimate your project costs and a support form.

  • Login to Subsidy Counter

You log in with DigiD to the Subsidy Desk of the Municipality of Maastricht. Are you submitting a project proposal on behalf of an organisation? Then log in with eHerkenning, reliability level 2+. Receiving a grant may, for example, affect your benefit. First discuss this with your contact at the municipality. Or call 043 350 4747.

Do you live outside the municipality of Maastricht? Then you cannot log in with DigiD. Send an e-mail to subsidieloket [at] maastricht.nl (subsidieloket[at]maastricht[dot]nl) and we will send you a form you can use to submit your project.

Unable to log in with DigiD or eRecognition? Or are there other technical problems? Please contact us via telephone number 043 350 4040 or via e-mail address subsidieloket [at] maastricht.nl (subsidieloket[at]maastricht[dot]nl).

  • Save in between

You can save the project form in between. To do so, click the ‘Save’ button in the project form. Ready to submit? Click the ‘Submit’ button.

  • Is the information complete?

Are we missing important information or documents? Then you will receive an e-mail that a message is ready for you in the subsidy office. This message states which information is missing and asks you to provide it as soon as possible. The sooner you submit your application, the longer you have to supply the information. And the sooner you will receive tips and feedback!

  • Advice

Projects can be submitted until Sunday 15 September 2024. After that, each promoter will receive an advice. You can read more about this below.

Assessment of all ideas

After 15 September, all project plans received are reviewed individually. Team Citizens' Budget sometimes involves other officials in the assessment. In consultation with the initiator, it may be decided to adjust a project, adjust the budget, encourage cooperation between projects or reject it. These choices follow from the general regulations.

If your project has been assessed, you will be informed. You will receive an e-mail that a message is ready for you in the subsidy office. This message states whether or not your project can be carried out. Projects that are suitable will be posted on the website. These projects advance to round 3: residents vote online and during a closing event. Together, they decide which projects will be carried out in 2025.
