Closing events on 16th and 17th December
On 16th and 17th December 2023 we will be hosting the final 2 events of the Burgerbegroting (Citizens’ Budget) at VISTA College. It is during these events that residents will decide which submitted projects will be executed in 2024. Everyone is invited to participate. These closing events follow a decision made by the municipal executive on 28th November.
Feasible projects
On 28th November, the municipal executive will make a final decision on which project proposals meet the project criteria . After this decision is made, the themes available for public voting will be confirmed. We will publish the feasible projects on our website. Submitters will receive an email detailing the decision on their project and further information.
2 closing events
We are organising 2 closing events at VISTA College (times are subject to change):
- Saturday, 16th December: from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Sunday, 17th December: from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
On these days, everyone is welcome to vote on the feasible projects. Early in December, we will provide details on the themes open for voting and the registration process for the closing events.
Background
In April, residents chose the 10 themes for this Burgerbegroting edition with a total budget of €750,000. Residents then allocated the amount across the 10 themes.
Between 18th June and 18th July, we received 199 project proposals. The municipality has assessed all proposals for feasibility. Submitters have already received the municipality's advice on their projects.
