Citizens' Budget monthly update July & August
While we are enjoying a summer break, Team Citizens' Budget is not standing still. The past few weeks we have spoken to several organisations! We will update you in this new post.
Community platform Amby participates!
With the welcome event of the citizens' budget in the offing, we encourage communities and community platforms to participate in the decision-making of Citizens' Budget Maastricht. Because, the citizens' budget is all about you: Maastricht citizens. That's why we think it's important that as many citizens as possible know what the citizens' budget is and how you can participate.

1000 flyers distributed in the district
Community platform Amby organised a flyer action through the neighbourhood to inform residents and to enthuse them about the citizens' budget. A successful action! Well done!

In conversation with the members of CODE 043
As a multicultural city for young and old, we must not forget young people. That's why we started a dialogue with the youth organisation CODE 043, because we think it's important that young people also know about the citizens' budget. Together, you decide how to spend 300,000 euros of government money. Together, you choose the themes, divide the money and think of projects. Each choice during the process is made together with all other participating citizens. You can participate as often as you like.

Council members updated
We also updated the councillors of the city council on the state of affairs. What is the progress of the citizens' budget and can we together make sure that as many as possible residents know about the citizens' budget and what they can expect?
Get involved in the decision-making process! Decide together with other residents how 300,000 euros of government money should be spent. We believe that residents know what the problems are in the city and together they will come up with good ideas. Let us inspire one another. Would you like to join us?

Welcome event is sold out
On the 6th of September, we start with the digital welcome event. 50 participants will get information about the process of the citizen budget and will practice with the working method of round 1 ( choosing themes) and round 3 (submitting projects). Do you want a spot on the reserve list? Sign up via our website.
