Events on 26 and 30 March cancelled – to be held at a later date
We have very reluctantly decided to cancel the first two events in the first round of Citizens’ Budget Maastricht. This means that the events on 26 March (at Geusselt Stadium) and 30 March (at De Klaekeburg) will not go ahead, but will be postponed until a later date.
For the residents, by the residents
We believe that everyone should be able to take part in the citizens’ budget. In view of the government’s measures as a result of the coronavirus, together with the recommendations of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and Security Region Zuid-Limburg, this is no longer possible.
All residents who have registered for the events will be informed as quickly as possible. We continue to adhere closely to the measures taken by the national government and the advice from the RIVM. On this basis, we will also make a decision regarding the events planned for April. For the time being, the events on Sunday 5 and Wednesday 8 April are still scheduled. We will of course inform participants in the citizens’ budget as efficiently as possible in case of changes.
New dates for postponed events
As soon as circumstances allow, we will arrange two new dates for the cancelled sessions in round 1. In this way, there will still be four opportunities to take part in the first round of Citizens’ Budget Maastricht.
Depending on developments relating to the coronavirus and the measures taken by the national government, we will set two new dates at short notice. Check the website regularly or subscribe to the newsletter to keep up-to-date.
All the latest developments relating to the coronavirus are published on the RIVM website. You can find specific reports relating to citizens’ budget events on our website and social media. If you have any further questions, you can contact burgerbegroting [at] maastricht.nl.
