Speelbrook
A group of enthusiastic parents in Itteren want to enhance 't Brook, a central meeting place in the neighbourhood where lots of activities already take place. They plan to transform the “bleak little patch of grass” near the play area into a water play zone and a bike track for children. They also hope to improve the bike track further in the future. The aim is to create a vibrant space where all residents can come together.

Current status
The play area at ’t Brook in Itteren has been upgraded with a water play zone and a BMX track for children. This makes ’t Brook a lively meeting place for walking and play, with plenty of shade on warm days. On Saturday 14 June 2025, the play area was officially opened in collaboration with Wandelbrook | Burgerbegroting Maastricht.
