Wandelbrook
The Wandelbrook project aims to create a path around the 't Brook grass field in Itteren, with 23 trees planted along the way. A contractor will lay the path, while local parents will plant the trees and enjoy a lunch together on National Compost Day 2025, boosting a sense of involvement and community. The goal is to transform the grass field into a green, attractive space suitable for walking and playing, with ample shade in hot weather.

Current status
The green space at ’t Brook in Itteren has been upgraded. A walking path lined with no fewer than 23 trees now surrounds the field, making ’t Brook a vibrant meeting place for walking and play, with plenty of shade on warm days. On Saturday 14 June 2025, the play area was officially opened in collaboration with Speelbrook | Burgerbegroting Maastricht.
